Air duct cleaning is a process that involves cleaning the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system components, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, grilles and diffusers, heat exchangers, fan motor and fan housing, and the air-handling unit.
Here is a general overview of our air duct cleaning process:
Initial Inspection:
Our technician will complete a walk through to inspect any loose or damaged duct work.
Preparation:
The HVAC system is turned off to ensure safety during the cleaning process.
Duct Cleaning Equipment:
High-powered vacuums and specialized blowers are used to create negative pressure within the duct system. This helps to remove dust and debris.
Brushes, air whips, and other agitating devices are used to dislodge stubborn particles from the duct walls.
Duct Cleaning Process:
As the vacuum or blower creates negative pressure, the contaminants are dislodged and drawn into the system.
The debris is either collected in a containment device or pulled directly into the vacuum.
Disinfection and Deodorization:
After cleaning, if purchased, we apply a disinfectant to the ducts to kill any remaining bacteria, mold, or fungi.
Deodorizers may be used to address any lingering odors.
Post-Cleaning Inspection:
A final inspection is conducted to ensure that the cleaning process was effective and that the system is free from contaminants.
